We are a family business consisting of a large, inspirational retail garden nurseries and country shop, a professional garden design service and beautiful Garden Café. If you are looking for a truly independent nursery, with buckets of character, we are the place. We’re noted for our beautiful Tipis that make the most wonderful venue for weddings and events. And you’ll find us in the heart of rural Buckinghamshire.

Our journey first began in 1984 when our founder Peter sold cuttings and potted-on seedlings outside the family farm and his uncle’s farm shop. In 1989 we moved to our existing location, and we haven’t stopped developing our ideas and improving and expanding our services since. In recent years we have added a garden design studio, an events and David Austin rose garden, all benefitting from an amazing team of professional garden designers. We’ve built the beautiful Tipis, developed the café and we are now licensed for wedding ceremonies. Our long-standing Garden school, for all, offers both creative and horticultural workshops. We now also have Tipi events including regular comedy and classic cars. All of which benefit from our licensed bar. The current programme can be found on the Events tab.

It is now well over 40 years since we began and we are listed as one of the top 26 Garden Centres & Nurseries in the country, renowned for our incredibly interesting selection of plants and trees. The nursery is fully stocked all year round, and we have all the plants you need to create your whole garden through each season. We are also very good at sourcing plants for your projects and our garden design projects from our fabulous British suppliers.

We appreciate customers from far and wide (some travelling over 100 miles just to visit us), and our Garden Club has over 14,000 members.

We have a team of horticultural experts on the nurseries who are always on hand to help. We have a huge passion for plants and offer friendly expert advice.
