April 21 @ 11:15 am - 1:00 pm

100% natural and peat-free products are the perfect partner for any gardener. Made in Somerset; a by-product of renewable energy production.

A talk on how to get the most value from 100% Peat Free Compost – Toby Thomas from RocketGro.

With enriching properties, a big boost to your garden and plant health. RocketGro is a small business with huge passion and big dreams. Made in Somerset with love!

No matter which area of your garden is hungry for a nutrient boost; your lawn, beds, baskets, pots, fruit trees and veg patch – RocketGro’s100% natural and peat-free products are the perfect partner for any gardener.

Made at their farm in Somerset, they are part made with the by-product of renewable energy production – great for the garden, the environment and addressing climate change. All RocketGro products are completely free from animal product

RocketGro products are brought to life through the process of Anaerobic Digestion (AD). They feed Rye, Maize, and Grass into their Biogas AD plant, this is then composted down by natural microbes that produce gas. The by-product of this process is the base ingredient for all their products. They also input food waste into another section of the Biogas AD plant to produce gas but this is kept separate from the production of RocketGro products.

Farmers have known for years that microbes are critical for soil and plant health. Current research is revealing even more ways beneficial microbes help cultivated plants. Microbes in the soil and those associated with plant roots provide a multitude of benefits, from improving the nutrient content of our crops to enhancing their resistance against diseases. Microbes in soil are extremely important for plant growth and for the functioning of garden ecosystems.

The digestate in RocketGro products contains these soil health boosting microbes and this generates bio-activity. This in turn means that plants that get exposure to the natural goodness that is inside every bag or bottle of RocketGro products benefit hugely in comparison to being planted in average planting mediums.

Becoming a RocketGrower is embracing the importance of soil health and recognising that healthy soil means healthy plants and therefore more spectacular flowers and a greater yield of fruit and veg. More bio-activity in your soil means a more diverse soil biome, greater worm count and a healthier Organic garden.

All RocketGro compost products naturally contain these microbes, which are completely absent from normal container and potting mixes. These composts add this vital part of the soil-food web into your containers, stimulating better and healthier growth.

We are asking for a donation of £10, and all proceeds will be going to support the Ukraine appeal & the Disasters Emergency Committee
